Former National in Litchfield, IL.  National was purchased by Schnucks in 1995.  Unknown if Schnucks operated this store after purchase.

Venture/Schnucks - Fairview Heights, IL

Former Venture/Schnucks store in Fairview Heights, IL  First Venture in Illinois.  27,000 sq. ft.
Recently, Venture/K-Mart to right was demolished for new development.  Opened in March, 1970. Closed as Schnucks in 1984.  Replaced by 57,000 square foot store.

Kroger - Capitol City Shopping Center - Springfield, IL

Former Kroger in Springfield.  Replaced by Dirksen store (was Shop'n Save, now County Market).  Kroger, biefly had a Bi-Lo (?) limited assortment store in this location after moving.

Schnucks/Venture - Alton, IL

Former Schnucks in Alton, IL.  Operated by Schnucks since early 1970s, first as Venture, then
as Schnucks.  Replaced when Schnucks purchased the Kroger across the street in 1986.  Believed to
be last Schnucks store operating in a Venture building when closed.

Schnucks - Granite City, IL

Kroger - Mt. Vernon, IL (S. 10th St.)

Kroger off S. 10th Street in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Closed in late 1970s.  Believed to have been vacant
for more than 35 years.  Old large strip center that was bypassed by Interstate Hwys 57 & 64.
Former center occupants included: Montgomery Ward, Woolworth Department store, Tri-City grocery, Burger Chef.

A&P Grocery Stores - Granite City, IL

Old A&P grocery store at 2016 Madison in Granite City, IL.  Closed in early 1980s.  Store was one
of three St. Louis area stores A&P kept open after A&P left St. Louis in 1977.  Store closed prior
to closing of the other two stores in Alton and Bethalto.
