Former Dierbergs

 Former Dierbergs at Clocktower Place Shopping Center in North St. Louis County, MO.  Closed in 2007 after 20 years.  A 10/24/07 article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch quoted Greg Dierberg.  He indicated that the store had never had a year of profit during the 20 year lease.  The center is the site of an old drive-in theater at I-270 and West Florrisant.

Former Kroger

 Former Kroger at 49 N Florissant Rd - Ferguson, MO  63135.  Quite a bit of history to this store.  It was either just opened, or about to be opened, when Kroger left St. Louis in 1986.  Schnucks took over at that point.  Believe that Schnucks ran this store for a while, then closed it since they had nearby stores.  Much pressure was put on Schnucks to allow another grocer to open this store back up.  Eventually, Schnucks reached an agreement with Shop n Save to open here.  Several years ago, Schnucks reach an agreement with Shop n Save to take this store back and then Schnucks closed the nearby Cool Valley Schnucks.  This photo was taken after Shop n Save closed and before Schnucks reopened.  This store was built at the site of the previous Kroger.
