As I recall, this store, the one on 5th St, and the one next to Kmart closed simultaneously in 1983 when they were replaced by the store on Mid Rivers Mall Dr, which has been a furniture store since Kroger left town; currently Weekends Only, formerly Crossroads/Rhoades until that chain bit the dust.
