Former A&P - Bethalto, IL
Former A&P in Bethalto, IL. Last new A&P built in St. Louis Area (1976). Along with the Alton and Granite City stores, it remained as an A&P after A&P left St. Louis in 1977. Closed as an A&P in mid 1980s. Continued as grocery store under various names. Finally, purchased by Schnucks a few years ago.
Former Schnucks - Wood River, IL
Former Schnucks on HWY 111 in Wood River, IL. Schnucks converted store to a "Rock Bottom"
warehouse store in 1984. Sold by Schnucks to the "New" National after Schnucks' purchase of
National in 1995.
Since demolished.

Former Kroger in south St. Louis. (Building believed to have been used as a furniture store prior to Kroger.) Currently used as an Asian grocery store. Inside appearance much like when Kroger closed
store. (Author's note: As a small child, I can remember riding my tricycle in this store when shopping with my mother.)
